The streets around Wellfield and Albany Road get busy, and parking near Roath Park is tight. We work out the closest sensible stopping point in advance, keep the walk to the van short and flag any street likely to need a bit of patience.

Most Roath terraces have a rear lane behind them, and on a street where the front is solid with permit parking the lane is often the better way in. It depends on whether it is wide enough, whether the gate opens and whether the neighbours have blocked it, so it is worth a look before moving day rather than a hopeful attempt on the morning.
