A full pack, or only the hard rooms
A full pack means we arrive with everything needed and box the house room by room, labelled by room and by what is in it, usually the day before the move. A part pack is the more common request: the kitchen, the loft, the garage and the china, which are the four that swallow an evening each.
Whatever you have already done yourself counts. We are not going to repack boxes that are perfectly well packed.
Boxes and materials, delivered ahead
If you would rather pack yourself, we can drop off boxes, tape, paper and bubble wrap in advance so you are not driving around buying them in the last week. Take what you need and we collect what is unused when we move you.
Flat-packed boxes take up almost no room until you build them, so getting them early costs you nothing but space in a hallway.
Fragile things, properly wrapped
Glass, china, mirrors, framed pictures and anything with a screen get wrapped individually and packed upright rather than stacked flat, which is how most breakages actually happen. Boxes of fragile items are marked and loaded where nothing goes on top of them.
Tell us if there is something genuinely irreplaceable and we will pack it last and carry it separately rather than sending it in the load.
Unpacking at the other end
We can unpack as well, which is worth considering if you are moving with small children or on a tight timescale. Boxes go to the right rooms, essentials come out first, and we take the empty boxes and paper away with us instead of leaving a hallway full of cardboard.
